A long term art project has finally been completed. Students designed a skateboard deck with art work to reflect their own personality and flair. After several coats of papier mache, and lots of white paint to form a base, we set out to design our skateboard decks.
Pictured below are the finished decks. The final night of the twilight soccer season. The 2 Year 7 & 8 teams went head to head. A great game with a close result. Well done to Poroutawhao. But which team won???
An early start to the day in preparation for our Lamb, Calf and Kid Day. After weeks of preparation and caring for our animals, the time has come to present them for judging. Let's hope the animals do what they are supposed to do.
Country Crafts Day, and everyone is busy creating. Everyone came loaded with armfuls of bags and flowers in preparation for the construction of their Landscapes, Recycled Art and Novelty Centre Pieces. For our first cooking session for technology, we made chocolate spiders. We used chocolate buttons and fried noodles. We used m & m's, liquorice, marshmallows and other lollies to chop up and make the eyes. They looked interesting, but tasted yum!
Disco fever hit Poroutawhao School. The theme was Villains & Heroes.
Check out the awesome costumes that we wore. A big thank you to the Student Council, Miss Mc Kenzie, and the P.S.G. for making it a fantastic night. |
